The premise.

Git Visualizer Self combines network graphs, spatial views, research logs, loop exploration, contradiction matrices, and raw payload inspection in one React application.

Relationships and decisions become difficult to inspect when they are represented only as files and lists. This project experiments with visual interfaces for the structure around a project.

How it is structured.

The repository evidence points to these observable boundaries and technologies:

  • React/Vite application
  • D3 force-directed network graph
  • Spatial visualization view
  • Zustand and React Query state
  • Dedicated panels and route-level views

From idea to system.

  • The source contains graph, spatial, audit, loop, contradiction, research, specification, and payload views.
  • The project includes a committed dataset and a dedicated hero asset.
  • The package scripts include production build, lint, and Vite preview paths.

The difficult parts.

  • Keeping multiple visualization modes coherent while sharing one application state model.
  • Making dense relationships legible without flattening them into a generic table.
  • Balancing motion and interaction with readable data inspection.

What can be said honestly.

  • The repository contains the documented visualization components and state dependencies.
  • The README documents Vercel, Netlify, and Docker deployment options, but no live URL is used here because the linked Vercel URL returned 404 during the audit.
  • The source includes `src/assets/hero.png`, used here as an authentic project asset.

The project is a useful visual reference for this portfolio because it treats interaction as part of the information model, not a layer on top of a grid.
